Соцсеть Facebook начала тестирование двух отдельных новостных лент под названием Explore Feed в шести странах еще в октябре 2017 года.
«Explore Feed была пробным решением на систематические запросы от людей, которые хотели видеть в новостной ленте больше постов от друзей и семьи … В опросах люди нам сказали, что они были менее удовлетворены постами, которые видели, и две отдельные ленты не помогли им больше общаться с друзьями и семьей «, — говорится в заявлении компании.
В странах, где проводилось тестирование, считают, что Explore Feed усложнил для них доступ к важной информации. Как отмечается в заявлении, Facebook считает более удачным решением изменения в январе, связанные с сокращением рекламного и новостного контента в ленте.
Марк Цукерберг объявил в январе, что новостная лента Facebook будет содержать меньше рекламного и новостного контента и сообщения из друзей. Благодаря этим изменениям, по его мнению, пользователи будут проводить меньше времени в Facebook, но с большей пользой.
